The nonprofit agency CUMEDIAE’s (Culture & Media Agency Europe) main goal is to support projects and activities with an international dimension which are linked to the arts and the creative economy. It is moved by the same the objectives as the 2005 UNESCO Convention on cultural diversity. On a belief that we live a moment of model change in the funding and management of culture and arts during which the contribution of creative industries to job creation and economic growth is being better understood. Technology and new media have created new connections between arts and culture and other players of social and economic life. CUMEDIAE and its network of professionals want to be at the center of these changes, and serve the needs deriving from them.
The agency provides the following services: international development of projects (support in the internationalization of projects or organizations, identification of, and negotiation with suitable partners abroad, representation or promotion mandates for projects and organizations, European project management, external administrative support to international activities and projects, reports and analysis, identification and coordination of experts), access to funding (draft projects’ analysis and research on public funding opportunities, technical support in European grants, call for tenders, assessment on sponsorship potentialities and strategy, advice to philanthropy and corporate social responsibility applied to arts and culture), working with the media (advice and strategy on communication and media, organization of conferences, seminars and other public events) and public policy advice.
CUMEDIAE is based in Brussels. However, it supports a large part of its international activity in a growing network of respected and experienced culture professionals, extended throughout Europe, working mostly on a project basis.
